Barber and Stylist - 1500 Total Hours
We prepare you to take the South Carolina state licensing exam for cosmetology. Learn how to cut, style, and care for both men and women's hair. We provide solid class instruction as well as hands on training in our learning salon. Study part-time or full-time. Finish your course and sit for the exam in as little as 9 months!
Shampooist - 350 Total Hours
We prepare you to take the South Carolina state licensing exam for becoming a shampooist, or salon assistant. Learn proper salon sanitation techniques, shampooing, and massage movements. Study part-time or full-time. Finish your course and sit for the exam in as little as 6 weeks!
Nail Technician - 350 Total Hours
We prepare you to take the South Carolina state licensing exam for becoming a nail technician. Learn manicuring and pedicuring, artificial nails application, nail art, and more. We provide solid class instruction as well as hands on training in our learning salon. Study part-time or full-time. Finish your course and sit for the exam in as little as 6 weeks!
Requirements for Licensure in the State of South Carolina
- Complete an approved course of study (see above)
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Complete at least the 9th grade of high school or its equivalent
- Pass the licensing exam
Financing Your Course
Studying barber and styling or nail technician is an investment in your future that will pay you back for years to come. Shabazz Barber and Styling College does have payment plan options that we consider on a case by case basis. We are also approved by the Commission of Higher Education to provide training to former military personnel that is subsidized by the Veterans Administration.
